Small update
Added 2020-09-16 18:03:49 +0000 UTCJust a bit of a heads-up: I planned to finish up the chapter by today, but our institute completely freaked out over CoVid once again, and so my workload exploded in the past week. Hopefully I will be able to write on Saturday (I'll have to work, but Saturdays are relatively easy-going, so I will probably be able to dedicate half my workday to typing), but even so, I'm afraid I can't promise anything until Monday-ish.
That's all for now. Stay safe, and have a nice day, all of you.

Tell me about it. We are still using a seven years old laptop with Vista and a grand total of two gigs of RAM, even though we have two brand new machines in the institute's warehouse, but we can't use those until the pos that we are forced to use completely breaks down. Doing a presentation where it takes twenty seconds for a PPT slide to move is just lovely...

2020-09-17 06:07:10 +0000 UTCAs long as you continue taking care not to burn yourself out. As much as I am excited for the continuation, remember your mental health should go first. Because holy sandwich shop your job sounds even more hellish than mine right now, and my workplace has been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy for over a year now. Working alongside IT without any money to spend on replacing everything that breaks is... Interesting.

2020-09-16 20:23:40 +0000 UTCNursing home. Five wards, 270 residents, lots of freaking out about CoVid getting anywhere near the place, and since as a social worker I'm pretty much constantly going back and forth between the hospitals either as an attendant with the patients or just to take care of paperwork, there is just a teeeeensy bit of pressure on me because of that. It's pretty much at the same level of madness as in the spring, except without the emergency shifts (yet).
