On Sponsorships and how to deal with them.
Added 2020-12-16 08:36:13 +0000 UTCHey, as those of you who have been around for a while may know, I have consistantly refused to accept sponsorships on my youtube channel. The reason for this is very simple, most sponsorships are extremely shady. Raid Shaddow Legends is the best example of this. It is basically a scam, and I refuse to attach my name to, let alone promote such a thing, that in my opinion is very harmful to people. Additionally, most sponsors tell you what to say about their products, even if what they make you say is a complete lie. I don't want to do that, neither do i want to mislead anyone, especially not member of my audience.
Today however, I was for the first time approached by a potential sponsor who I find to be acceptable. The Sponsor is not a company, but an individual, a sci fi and fantasy novel author, who contacted me not through his publisher but as an individual. He writes sci-fi and fantasy novels that he publishes at prices ranging from 1 dollar to 10 dollars on kindle. I find this very acceptable to advertise. Especially since the reviews on the books on amazon are mostly positive. I don't yet know how much he will offer to me, but i am thinking of accepting his offer.
Here are a few things I have in mind concerning this.
1: I will let you know exactly how much he will pay me.
2: I will splitt the money between me and the artists and let you know exactly how much I keep

4: I will write the Sponsorship myself and will do zero embelishments.
