Q: Which new character in season 2 are you most looking forward to inflicting on us readers and why is it Nigel?

A: While some fun new chatters will show up in the server, a priority for season 2 is to focus on developing characters we’ve already introduced that haven’t had a chance to really shine yet, especially offline.

Q: Will we ever find out Des' server username?

A: Yes! The reveal of her username in the server is already written.

Q: Will 'Mona get worse?

A: Mona’s role in season 2’s narrative is one we’re both very excited to share with the readers—it’s pretty complicated and we hope folks enjoy it as much as we do!

Q: Would Katherine conceivably be otherkin/therian? And what species?

A: Katherine would never dare to impose herself in spaces for otherkin and therians. But it would be a demon.

Q: Will Katherine have a nice day? Will Nichole have a nice day? Will Rashmi have a nice day? Will Des have an awful day?

A: Katherine is prepared to begin the new season by seizing the day with a renewed commitment to making things better for everyone. Nichole also has a very good idea in mind, and Rashmi is intent on finally having some honesty go around in the apartment. Desdemona had a terrible night at the party and is still not doing great about all that!

Q: When will it be Tahani Time again?

A: Make no mistake: It’s always Tahani Time. But also, not for a while.

Q: Now that Estro Junkies is being more differentiated from the serial, will the serial continue to have more than four POVs?

A: The thing about a lot of POVs is that in a finite narrative economy, you actually end up with less time exploring individual characters’ internality. Fewer POVs allow us to go more in-depth and paradoxically get to know characters better—you don’t always need to be in a character’s head to understand them. Season 2 will have as many POVs as we think it needs, but we are definitely keeping an eye on it.

Q: Will we find out more about the shady benefactor in Estro Junkies or Season 2?

A: Several characters have a vested interest in finding out more, and the narrative will follow them down the path of discovery if their efforts yield results.

Q: What bullshit "im not a woman cause X" excuses are we getting this season? my guesses: "cause im just agp/rogd", "cause gender is fake and therefore no one is a woman", "cause im a transwoman and transwomen are men", "cause im male socialized", "cause women like being women and personally i hate all the misogyny i face"

A: The metagame of the server will be severely affected by Laura’s abdication from the throne. Dominant strategies become taboo from association with Laura the Impostor, while old ways long suppressed by her presence will emerge once more.

Q: Will Tahani's car ear hoodie finally be made canon? Does Kathy have a car ear hoodie as well and does the presence of cars on the ears mean she doesn't feel like she needs to argue that it's salmon? Is Estro Junkies set in a distinct and recognizable city or are we continuing on with a nondescript amalgam of western cultures?

A: The car ear hoodie is a curiosity Tahani keeps mostly because she’s fascinated by the strangeness of it, but it’s not something she wears often as it’s hard to machine wash properly. Kathy doesn’t know about car ear hoodies yet, as she’s not been looking for any new hoodies since she committed to presenting fem in real life. Estro Junkies will remain set in “Citytown, Countryland” because it makes it easier for us to comment on a broad spectrum of transphobic regime practices without tying us to a particular place or history.
