It was in fact the perfect forum for it, for them, because it meant they could play up all those feelings, turning up the volume to the extent that they couldn't in fact muffle what they really wanted behind a layer of overthinking static.

The two of them needed a do-over, to rewind to that very frustrating and unsatisfying sexual encounter, and try again, but you can't rewind without revisiting, and that brought all those petty gripes and resentments to the surface.
