Hey guys, I really hope you're doing well and maybe even enjoying yourselves a little. 2024 has been mostly productive for me but there's always room for improvement. Between my dayjob and my game development hobby, I could hardly find a little bit of fun time for myself. My steam library of videogames is growing and I never seem to find time to play - But I know that if I start playing Witcher 3, Baldur's Gate 3 and all those games I've been dreaming to start, my visual novels will suffer. And then I'll suffer too. So, I keep going year after year, hoping I won't burnout.
I'd like to welcome the newcomers and hail again the old friends. For those of you who don't know me: Hi, I'm a GenXer who loved reading and drawing comics since I was a kid. I work as an orthopaedic surgeon for many years now and about seven years ago, I restarted drawing comics as a hobby. Pen and paper was outdated so I learned digital drawing and slowly started creating stuff. At the same time, I discovered visual novels and Ren'Py. Since my programming experience was close to zero, I started from a scratch. Thanks to YT tutorials I started Goss_IP. The script was good but my art was kind of crude. Chapter after chapter, I've got better but even after the end, I believe that Goss_IP deserved better. Anyway, this exposition will continue another time.
Now, I'm working for the various endings of TableTop BornStar, a VN I absolutely adore because it has three of my favorite things as a player: Dice rolling (As a former Dungeon Master, I'm a sucker for tabletop games), a nice ramificated adventurous story and some nice 2d art.
Also, I'm working on Arabella 1890, but sadly it will soon be removed from this platform.
Now, since the future releases are much complicated, (especially the CornStar route), I couldn't deliver anything worthy of your time. Hopefully, 0.92 will be ready by the end of January.
As a new year's resolution, I can only promise that I won't abandon anything. I can't promise speed but I can promise that I'm doing my best because I really love my projects! Happy New Year!
