Something "slinky"
Added 2020-11-09 22:43:11 +0000 UTCI felt like making something slinky for myself today! I love playing with words and perception. "Slinky" in terms of women's under garments usually means something a bit different than this more literal interpretation.
I've often wondered what it is about the breast that people often find offensive. Why is it so socially acceptable for breasts to be viewed in a sexual way, but less so in a casual way? I pondered these things as I worked.
What you're seeing in this photo is a bra I picked up rather cheap! I incorporated 2 slinkies, by cutting out circles and hand sewing the slinkies into place.
I'm sure as this concept solidifies in my mind, there will be some interesting follow up work!
