Painting a self portrait.
Added 2019-08-02 17:09:02 +0000 UTCIn the studio, I painted a self-portrait. My color choices were intense: bright, warm yellows in the skin tones, and blues, greens, and browns in the background. It seems to speak to the summer as I gaze over my shoulder. While summer season isn't officially over, the feeling that it's unwinding is present. The days are long and hot, school buses are back on the streets and my focus turns inward.
