Wow Randy you work fast! Thank you so much! I've noticed that people see different eras in this painting. I think it appeals to a certain sense of the association of summer. The coldness of the blue in the wall represents winter behind, while the warmth and melting icecream in the foreground represents the summer ahead. It's the epitome of the excitement of youth.
