Another source photo and painting.
Added 2018-11-07 23:15:05 +0000 UTCI've been doing research on female iconography and goddesses. This is Kali, Hindu goddess of destruction and creation. There's much more to be said about her, but here I'll just stick to the source photo and the finished painting. My source photo is actually two photos taken in succession with my arms in different positions. Since this is a self portrait, and I don't have 4 arms, I worked with a photo editing program to create a picture showing 4 arms. This enabled me to accurately depict what it would look like if I did.
