Hello there!

This week I have for you all something that was very exciting to write and something that I had a ton of fun with, the Relics of the Divine! When reading up on relics and reliquaries in catholicism and monotheistic religions, I was deeply inspired and surprised by just how eldritch they are! The fact that the arms of saints are revered and sometimes exude myrrh and smell pleasant despite being extremely old and mummified?! That’s super eldritch and super metal! So I took this idea of eldritch religious imagery and made a bunch of magic items that are relics; pieces of flesh, bone, and blood of supposed apostles of the Prophet, using repeated imagery of birth, rebirth, consumption, blood, and weeping!
