This week I present to you all a fun AOE destruction-based plant druid - the Ecoterrorist! Maybe its the little environmental anarchist in me, but I absolutely loved making this subclass, and especially the flavor for this subclass!
The idea that mother earth, as a response to the world stripping her of everything and treating humanity like a virus, suddenly creates a mutated gene that exsists in all new plants that when supplied with a little bit of magic, to those who know that it is there, erupts into a poisonous explosion of flora and plantlife that is fueled by the immediate death of things around them! Sign me up!
In a setting that is super modern, all steel and concrete, but Druids still existing as a class, I thought it would make the most sense to have a subclass where they are radicalists trying to reclaim the earth!
As you can see, this subclass is all based around Green Eruptions which essentially make massive permanent difficult terrain areas with added poison benefits, that only gets upgraded more and more! When combined with the 14th level ability and stuff like Conjure Animals (where creatures you summon can now be targeted by Green Eruption), you can suddenly become a very big bad and essentially destroy an entire high-rise if everybody within has the HP of a commoner!
