I am so immensely pleased and proud to have a brand new comic written by my brilliant friend Lux Alptraum up on The Nib today!
Continuing our tradition of collaborating on comics that explain sex work, Lux now turns her journalistic eye and first-hand experience to demystifying the decades-long war that credit card companies have been waging on internet porn.
Every time I hear well-intentioned people railing against Patreon or Kickstarter or any other payment-processing website for getting rid of their Adult Content creators, I yell at my screen BE MAD AT THE CREDIT CARD COMPANIES, THEY'RE THE ONES WHO FORCE ALL THESE OTHER SITES TO IMPOSE ANTI-SEX POLICIES. Ah, just read the comic, it explains it better than I can ;)

2021-11-23 07:52:34 +0000 UTCI work in finance, and it's bananas to me that I can work with a customer who, for example, makes WILDLY offensive garbage, and nobody cares, but I get the severe gears if I work with a company that prints 18+ comics. Apparently, Canada didn't used to have nearly as many issues with it, but with NAFTA and FATCA, most Canadian financial institutions aren't willing to get shut out of the US market for rocking the boat.
