Lemony Snicket: The Flowering

This is Lemony Snicket, my potted Improved Meyer Lemon tree.
Matt and I picked her up on a whim and watching her shoot up and flower was one of my joys during our first year of quarantine.
She spends the warmer months outside and when the colder season starts she gets hauled back inside. These tiny purple buds popped up during her final week outdoors- these pictures are from October 4th, 2021.

It’s making the room ambiently smell like… baking cookies??? Matt and I went on a mini quest to figure out why our kitchen had an Essence of Baking Cookies in it (no cookies have been baked in here for a year, at least) and then we discovered Lemony was the culprit.
