I am waiting for Tig, while she hunkers down by the gate in the corridor next to our house where we keep our garbage, recycle, and compost bins. We have a whole backyard of plants to explore but this is her favorite spot, which Matt and I have dubbed Stink Street. She turns into a very alert loaf and is clearly on the lookout for… something. Something important. Something that warrants her to hiss when I inevitably scoop her up, saying “Ok, Tig, you’ve had enough time here.” She’s not, like, hissing AT me, she doesn’t turn her head toward me. She keeps her eyes locked on that gap under the gate, that’s what she hisses at as I march her back to the sunlit garden area.
So.
I am writing to you from Stink Street, since I’ve got to give her her morning hunker here. And while she is intently loafed at the gate gap and I am intently bored and chilly, I will share with you the pictures I’ve taken from the last week or so. So!

During a previous walk I played a video that featured a loudly meowing cat (I clicked on it because I could see it was about a cat but I had no idea it would be loudly meowling. Oh wait, I found it again! Here’s a link) and Tig started looking around for this other cat and when she realized it was coming from higher up on me somewhere, she tried to climb me like a tree.

I bought a giant mounted photo of a city street (New York?) from Goodwill for like $5 a month or so ago with the intention of drawing on it? Or something? It’s just been hanging out in my home studio since then. Earlier this week I actually drove by myself (KIND OF A BIG DEAL. I only got honked at once! [and it was deserved! I AM NOT A GOOD DRIVER]) to the art store and with the help of a clerk I bought some kind of clear fixative thing to use as a primer so whatever drawings or painting I do will stick better to the surface. That’s me givin’ it the ol’ spray down in the picture above.
Ok, Tig has finished with Stink Street (on her own time!), we’re back inside now.
There’s more pictures to share but I should actually get to work, I guess :-/
Ok, one last one.

Here’s me eating an ice cream crepe from Mojo Crepes.

With no warning, Matt and I had tried to grab Maria and her boy to go with us but, of course, when you tell someone HEY WE’RE GOING TO GET CREPES RIGHT NOW WANNA COME?! chances are that they are already playing DnD with their friends who had scheduled it in advance like responsible adults.

Instead I sent her these pictures, so she could feel like she was there with us.
I think it did the trick.
ON TO WORK.
