TAKE 2: Your Input Needed, plz! (Future of OJST)

---------UPDATE: lol jk about that first email. Here's the REAL poll:---------

SCROLL DOWN TO FILL OUT THE POLL!

What's Up:

Some of you already know that change is in the air since I've talked about ending or moving away from Oh Joy Sex Toy for a while now. But things are complicated and Matt and I've reached a point where we could really use your feedback to help us with some big decisions.

-----

Let's Get in the Weeds:

There's a lot of moving parts, so feel free to just scroll down to the poll.

Right now, Matt and I both work on OJST full-time, with this Patreon (patreon.com/ErikaMoen) being our main source of income for everything we do (Thank you, patrons!!!). It feeds us, homes us, and keeps us hiring Oh Joy Sex Toy guest artists.

The Patreon charges backers per-OJST update (roughly 4 times a month), and then I post additional essays, art, extras and autobio comics on this account throughout the month. All this content is co-mingled on here and gets complicated quickly when you start thinking about "How to separate 'Erika Moen' from OJST."

We've been considering that as a part of my moving away from OJST, it might be time to separate out the Patreon here into a monthly Patreon for me and a monthly one for a Matt-curated-OJST, as he loves working on it --or, if there isn't enough interest in supporting an exclusively OJST Patreon, putting OJST into long-term hiatus mode.

But splitting this Patreon, flipping the switch to monthly billing, and reworking all the tiers is actually a whole lot more complicated behind the scenes than you'd think and any change to the current system will most definitely cost us a significant chunk of our income (Believe me, Matt and I have invested years of brainstorming into trying to figure out how to tweak this set-up without taking a hit and it's just... not possible).

-----

So.

We need your input.

We need more data! To help us figure out and plan for the future and to see whether or not Matt -should- keep OJST going or what my income might look like on my own.

Help us by telling us why you're a patron here:

I had trouble finding a vote that fits. What I care about is supporting both of you. I'm happy to support OJST separately if need be while it changes. But, while guest comics and other peoples stories are nice sometimes, I'm here for a what you and Matt have to say, even if that's through different things.

I've switched responses a few times because neither feels totally correct but the short version is I came to you through Danielle and GWS (I don't even know how baby me got there god, what is time?) sometime in 2009 and y'all have been pivotal to my growth and understanding of myself and sexuality over the years. I've got the first two OJST books next to my GWS compilation obvs. but I'm also 38 now and follow OJST less closely than I did in the past. Which is to say I think I would be able to support more on a monthly basis for whatever you do than I am able to on the per comic model now so whichever letter that is is my vote. xoxo
