My "realizing I'm maskless in an angry crowd" anxiety dream has completely replaced my "realizing I'm naked at school" anxiety dream.
It will be really interesting to see how long that maskless dream sticks around-- not just for me, but for all of us who have it. Will we still be dreaming this when we're 80?
My second vaccination shot is May 18th and I should be fully immune(?) by June 1st!

I realized recently that as much as I've been waiting anxiously for the vaccine (live in Europe, haven't gotten it yet), I'm also anxious about getting it. I don't know if I'll feel safe even having been vaccinated to go out and about and have people over, and for my partner to do the same, but I won't have a valid reason to not to (and to ask her not to).

My parents (both in their mid-90s) are in a retirement complex in Brisbane. I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada. I heard about a new and very contagious virus coming out of China, so I made a really fast trip to Australia in late January 2020 to make sure my parents were safe, in an 8 day window between my regular working shifts. Even back then, entire groups of Chinese tourists at Vancouver and Brisbane airports were 100% masked, so I knew it was going to be bad (and far worse than the news media was telling us).

2021-05-16 15:31:16 +0000 UTCI have a lot of dreams now of visiting my family. One day I’ll get to do that for real! When I was in high school we had a hat as a part of our uniform (Australia) and for YEARS after graduating I always felt like I’d forgotten to bring my hat with me. I’m sure I’ll feel the same about my mask 😂 At least with a mask I could throw one into my bag and maybe that’ll help with the feeling I’m sure that I’ll have.
