It's Where She Wants to Be

And now, a series of portraits of Tig being where she wants to be on a variety of days over multiple months.

(Bonus points for disdainfully resting her poop-burying paw on top of my embroidery project)

What is it about this cat bed that makes creatures wanna drape all over it????

(Full shot, for spatial context)

Ok, so I still have way more pictures of her sleeping in her favorite position on her cat bed, but the repetition of these photos has probably already outlived its humorousness to people who do not currently live with this creature, so I'll just wrap it up here.

Here is Tig checking on me the first time she saw me get in the hammock. If she had a camera and opposable thumbs, I'm sure she would have documented my bizarre choice of reclining and posted it all over the internet for all the cats to mock, too.

"Why are you like this?" We ask each other. "Why."

Oh. Liquid cat. We have one of those - at fifteen years old, Captain Malcolm Pants of t3h Carpetship is still Noodlenose Questionmarktail. It is lovely to see other cats in the tradition of cats as liquid. <3

Nik

Are you sure you don’t have a snail? Tig seems to prefer the soft fluffy types of homes to protect the body in, and only extend the top half of the body out in order to function.

She iiiiiiiiisssssss ❤️

Freaking. Cat. 😤😤😤

Erika Moen

I regret to inform you that your cat is a fluid

Ragamuffin

Yes, this is a funny position in which she likes to sleep. But my cat does not sleep in its place and constantly loves to sleep under a blanket like all people)) this is just a funny sight)

VitAnyaNaked

Tig is beautiful.

Hugh Eckert

I love that streetch cats can do. It looks so satisfying!

The Ferret

The first photo loaded, and the first words out of my mouth were , "Freakin' cat." And then it kept going. And going. And I laughed, because she does this liquid spill-over-and-onto-your-stuff thing on purpose. Because freaking cat.

In my experience cats fall broadly into circle cats who like to squish themselves as small as they can be; and long cats, who prefer to Extend, as Tig demonstrates for us here

Julia Czarniecki

The flexibility and sheer wet-noodle-floppiness of cats will never not be entertaining. Also, I have that same bed for my dog and she adores it. It is the perfect amount of squish and I, too, have faceplanted in it.

Yes, but I can barely take care of my Patreon, I can only imagine how bad I'd fail taking care of a real-time chatting community /:)

Cat beds are for legs and tails, obv.

Yes THAT Tonya

She enjoys the cush just for her tush!

Abigael McGuire

What’s with the half-in/half-out thing? Does she need a bigger bed or something? :)

Amyphist

My rabbits do this, which is why I stopped bothering with anything but fabric mats for padding. :D

MK

I, for one, will never tire of these pictures

Oliver Cormier

Aww 😻 what a good kitty. Something to understand about cats: they want to lie on things we'd find uncomfortable because they don't have a spine in the way we understand these things. A cats spine is made of nonsense, and that drives a lot of adorable behaviours that make us feed them and clean up their poop.

Barmp

Ah, you've got one of those 'expandable' cats!

Matt Cohen

Have you considered a discord server? I follow a couple, and the interaction is very pleasant.

Grace Weil

SAME, I wish photo replies were a thing! I want to see people's pets and gardens and embroidery when I post about mine 😭

Erika Moen

I wish photo replies were a thing, my dog does this exact same thing. Why are pets so bad at furniture (yet so cute in the process)??
