COMIC: Little Pleasures in the Pandemic

This is a follow-up to the Tea Kisses comic I made in... 2007(?!)

I remember making it fresh for an art show at city hall that my studio had been invited to participate in. This might not be right, but I think it was an event to promote an official city-recognized Comics Month in Portland, to coincide with the Stumptown Comics Fest (RIP). At this time in my career, I would have listed it for sale, because back then everything I drew was for sale, but it didn't sell and I'm so glad because it hangs on the wall just on the other side of the door to our bedroom. The frame has a giant crack in it, where a chunk of it completely broke off after falling to the ground one too many times. Every now and then the chunk just falls off on its own and I'll scoop it up off the floor and push it back into the frame. I'm sure there's something symbolic about it- my relationship with Matt, my career, still holding up after all these years, a bit battered but still functioning and repaired with patient fingers as it's needed. Or maybe it just symbolizes that I should replace this broken-ass Ikea frame I got well over a decade ago with something that doesn't have a literal chunk broken off of it that is resting in place by gravity.

Oh, so, as you can see, I'm trying out that multiple-image-carousel thing that Patreon supplies? Hopefully that makes it easier to read? There's no 'preview' feature here, so I'm just gunna have to post it live to you all in order to see how it looks. I'm still going to post the whole comic here:

Which do you prefer? Reading the comic panel by panel in the carousel-thing or the entire comic page posted in full in the blog post? I'm just trying to figure this out, man. I tried to add a poll for you folks to vote on, but Patreon was like "You have to make a brand new blog post if you want to poll your patrons" and I was like, "Patreon, please, just... just work with me here." and Patreon was like "ZWOOP ZWOOP ZWOOP CRASHHHHHHH!!!" (That's the sound of Patreon spinning dangerously fast on a swivel chair and then crashing into the wall or the floor or something, I don't know, it's hard to tell, they really tore up the place)

It's 10:03 pm and as soon as I finish this post I can go to bed so here's a reference picture I took for the remastered comic:

I find carousel view takes AGES to load (not always, not every panel) so it makes reading so disjointed - not a fan. If both are included, I'll read in-post every time.

I hate looking at comics in carousel view as I can't read them directly in my email.
