Maaaaannnnn how's this for a trip back in time? Remember when the CDC was telling people to not wear masks???? LOL
(Matt is fully on Team Mask now and always wears one when he goes out, btw!!! Plz no concerned emails U_U )
This is the Vogmask Matt had gotten me the year before, when Portland was filled with smoke from the raging forest fires. It's meant for air pollution, though, not preventing the spread of a virus! That black valve blasts my potentially-infectious exhaled breath back out into the air around me, but I didn't know that at the time π¬So if you're gunna go looking to get your own Vogmask to wear during the pandemic, make sure you get one without a valve!
Now I cycle through a bowl of handmade cloth masks that my friend and I sewed. Real simple stuff, just fabric and some coffee filters.
Ok! Matt wants to take a walk! Gunna go put on one of my afore-mentioned masks and stroll around the block while the weather's nice.

2020-08-06 09:09:40 +0000 UTCI had actually gotten one of those masks at the beginning of all this FOR forest fires while backpacking this summer. But the one I received was a size too big so I sent it back for an exchange. Then C19 happened and they were like: "oops sorry, all sold out forever". And I too received warnings from peers about wearing one at the time! But more about getting beat up by the cops because I was an "antifa punk".
