[Progress Report]: 4th of May

Hey everyone,

What a week. Above you'll see both Chrys and Valentina! This is part of my ongoing effort to bring the characters together when it serves the story best. This has the downside of dramatically increasing the render time, but these moments are important for showcasing that the Academy isn't just a void with a couple of disconnected rooms. Also, since these characters were originally designed to play off each other, the dialogue feels engaging and is very easy to write.

I'm just about done the "catharsis" events after the patrol. I've got another scene with Artemisia that I know you'll want an update on, and my plan is to end this version update with the interrogation of Ojou-Trauma and see what story ramifications will come of it! We're nearly at the endgame, so you can expect her to be quite chatty.

Other than that, progress on development has been going well. Still not sure how many events this one will end with. You've noticed by now that I don't like to give concrete numbers as the size of the events are quite varied. At this point, it just makes more sense to place story goals per update and aim for that. I've also been making a concerted effort these last several updates to make the event endings more natural. Obviously, they need to end so I can move onto the next one, but I know a criticism of many of the midgame events was that they ended too suddenly. I hope that the endings feel more natural now.

Anyway, I've got to finish these renders off and get to storyboarding the next scene!
