[Progress Report]: 23rd of February

Hey everyone,
What a marathon. I mentioned this in the Discord, but my intention was to give Josie a short event this week. Just a small one. Something that would take about three days if we include the story boarding. She had some main story relevant content coming up and this was a good time to address it.
Nearly ninety renders later, and this event took the entire week.
When I set out to write events, I don't plan things out too rigidly. I know the direction and what needs to be covered, but how I get there I leave to the character's voice and actions. It helps them feel more authentic. At least, I think so. A consequence of this system is that it makes predicting the length of events a bit random. Some events I think are going to be very long end up being very short, and vice versa. The reason that some events balloon in size also varies. Josie had a brand new environment, and those usually take a day to set up. Then that means commentary on the environment, and taking time to introduce the "atmosphere" of the setting. The gym is easy. Even knows what to expect in the gym. I can go with or against it for simple story telling.
Josie's role in the story is also unique. I believe I've touched on it before, but no other character shares it. It helps that this content is also necessary for the main story, so for those of you who voted for the main story progress - pat yourselves on the back! It resulted in Josie's event today.
Now, I've got a few more things to take care of tonight. Four fairly chunky events are currently done and I want to get the last one or two finished before the release. Oh, crap, that's next week.
The screaming begins anew.
Thank you for all of your support,
