[Progress Report]: 1st of October

Hey everyone,
It's October already? Boy, this year flew by. Then again, I was out of action for most of it, so maybe I shouldn't be that surprised.
Anyway! Above you'll see a very vague render for the "guest" event finished this week! I can't show you most of the images as they'll spill right into spoiler territory! There are quite a few implications that accompany this event, and I know that my tinfoil society will enjoy pondering over what it could mean for the following updates.
Since I can't discuss this event any further, I'll just touch upon some general things. First, my recovery is almost complete and I finish physical therapy the same week that the early build releases! Yay!? Just a tad inconvenient, but being able to walk again more than makes up for it. With luck, nothing like this will happen again. To be honest, I'm kind of shocked I managed to get any work done during these past three to four months. It got really bad there. Then again, I also wasn't able to go to my day job, so I had literally twice the amount of time to chip away at Superheroes Suck, even if my focus was in shambles.
The "output" of Superheroes Suck has remained steady at around 7 to 8 events per release, but I would love to increase that to at least 9 to 10. The game used to output at around that amount last year, but the render quality, animation quality, and story complexity have all increased substantially since then. I'm hoping to hit this marker by upgrading my computer in a few months. I'm on fairly dated hardware right now for this field, and buying a graphics card & processor that are built to handle rendering would definitely speed up parts of the production. I'm waiting for a Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale before I pick up anything expensive. Top of the line hardware is never really discounted, but a man can dream!
That said, important news!
From my earnings with Superheroes Suck this year, I should be able to pay off the computer parts entirely! I'm still going to hold out hope for that sale, but I wanted to express my thanks to all of you. Yes, you have already funded me the money. I'm just being conservative with it as I don't have a lot of cash to throw around.
Another reason I would want to increase the production amount is that I am going to (finally) consider a Steam release towards the end of 2024. I'll be using the last bits of this year and most of next year to continue pushing the main story forward and fixing some of the early game portions for the full Steam release with the hopes that it can fund the rest of the development. We'll see how that goes. I'm hopeful, also incredibly anxious to put a deadline on what will be the game's last attempt to gain widespread success. It's... not a very comfortable feeling for a developer, but this community has given me a lot of confidence, and if you guys don't think it's ready at that time, I know you'll tell me.
That's it for me this week! Renders, renders, renders.
Thank you for all of your support,
~Solace

Absolutely! I have no idea how that works, but that is the plan.
