[Progress Report]: 17th of April

Hey everyone,

It's Early Build release day! All three versions are uploading and should be available for download about an hour after this post goes live. 

Running down the main story like this has been really hectic, but I think that things are coming together nicely. There are sure to be some surprises and / or interesting revelations for you in this version update, and I'm excited to see the discussion that comes from it soon!

Also, as a different kind of update, I'm still working on acquiring some more music for the game and I think I have enough to update the "playlist" during the future sandbox overhaul. I know that the music has been a sore point in the game for a while now and I just want to let those of you who are concerned know that I'm still actively trying to deal with it. Music is more difficult than some of the other issues because I'm not in control of when those rights are easy for me to acquire. I'm usually looking for sales on various sites with the proper legal permissions.

Oh! Before I go, I wanted to address something.

Recently, there has been some talk about about "piracy sites" on the discord and I just wanted to make my stance on this clear.

Superheroes Suck is a niche game in a very niche genre, visual novels, and I appreciate all the exposure I can get with the project. The majority of these sites give that exposure, and I'm sure it's how I found many of you either directly or indirectly. I don't take an issue with the public versions being hosted there, as there are links within the game itself that will take people who want to support me to my Patreon page. That said, I don't like to discuss piracy sites for a very simple reason:

I don't want to get banned. 

Promoting a piracy site, or being a host for pirated materials (including links to those sites), is a very quick way to get your Patreon and Discord deleted. I'm not saying that it's a 100% chance, but it's not a 0% chance either. As a creator, this would be a death sentence for the game, and so I try very hard to ignore the subject when it comes up. I want to make this clear: I have nothing against these sites or their users, but, for the safety of the game, I cannot discuss them at length here or in my discord. Please do not ask me questions about them, and do not ask other users about them here or in the discord. You can find sites like this very easily with a quick Google search if that is your interest.

In happier news, we actually got all three Patrols in Version 1.10! There were actually quite  a few events that ended up a lot larger than I thought they would, which is comforting to me. For a while there, I was worried that the events were getting to short, but now I think this is just the ebb and flow of the game's pacing. I'm fairly worn out, but I'll take a rest tomorrow once I know the new version is running smoothly.
