Hey everyone,

The next version of Superheroes Suck releases for Early Access patrons next week and - AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Is how I'm feeling.

These last five weeks really got away from me. I always seem to plan just a bit more than what my schedule can take, even when I up the work week to... everyday. There's just so much to do!

A lot of Version 0.95, or all of it, has been about progressing Chrys' events so that I can start progressing the main story again. Rather than a rendering problem, it's becoming surprisingly complex to push the narrative of Superheroes Suck forward. It's actually, well, a rather dense story now and carefully managing all of those plot threads is getting tricky. It doesn't help that I'm trying to do something ambitious with the last little event. No spoilers!

Still, if I did my math correctly, I should just make it in time to finish everything in time for the release next Sunday.

Oh! Also, a hearty congratulations for Chrys winning her first ever Patreon Poll. That actually worked out quite well for this release cycle, and I'm pleased that love in the comments is transitioning to votes in the polls. This also means that every heroine has won a Patreon poll at least once, which is a huge relief to me. I do consider the poll a sort of mild gauge on character popularity.

As is tradition, I'll also answer a question I received this week in my inbox.

Solace, will you go back and replace some of your earlier work? The renders in the beginning haven't aged the best.

Yes, absolutely, but most likely when Superheroes Suck is near finished. The problem with replacing renders & events in the game is that, despite taking the same amount of time to produce as new content, the amount of total content in the game doesn't change. I did it once before, and it was necessary to make the middle of the game flow better, but I would prefer not to make any of those sweeping changes again until the story is in a much better, and more complete, state.

Now, I need to dash off and go back to rendering. Wish me luck for next weekend!
