[Progress Report]: 2nd of May

Hey everyone,

I wanted to start off by thanking all of you that commented on the last post! It was very encouraging to hear your opinions on the mini-games and your support for my decision to exclude them. I think I will go ahead with the "light" combat mechanic I was talking about, and put some type of hint marker around the area as was recommended.

Progress on Version 0.80 continues. My goal is to get at least one new event out for each of the girls in addition to the main story content added. While Valentina and Harper have both received sizable additions to their character stories through the revisions, neither of them have had any current content updates for several months. I also need to begin Chrys' new arc and continue Riley's existing arc! There's a lot to tackle, and I'm trying to get up to speed on how to develop "new content" that progresses the plot again. I'm hoping I'll be able to shake the rust off fully when this releases.

What else to talk about without spoilers...

Oh, let's talk about Discord. I've been getting more questions about why I haven't opened one yet and if I was planning to.

Currently, there is no official Discord for Superheroes Suck, but I do want to create one in the future. The reason I haven't is due to time constraints. Up until recently, I've had to divide my time between game development and my day job, which meant I never really had a free moment. Now that I'm unemployed, I do have that time - but I am still looking for another job. I love working on the game, but it hasn't really reached a large enough audience that I can sustain myself on it. I wouldn't want to create a Discord group just to abandon it down the line.

At the moment, if you all have bugs you want to report or questions you'd like to ask, you can send messages to me on Patreon. I respond to them everyday. I know it's not a great replacement for a community hub; I just don't want to let anyone down if I'm not active enough on another platform.
