Detective Keegan and the Story Progression of Superheroes Suck

I told you that I'd get the greener eyes and freckles.
Anyway, hey everyone! Surprise mid-week update. Funny story about the model above. The generic police uniform can't actually contain Detective Keegan's abilities. So, I had to go with a looser top. I hope nobody minds.
Sumire's touch-up / Redesign reveal will be this weekend and I'll gather some feedback like we did with Detective Keegan. If the consensus is good, expect to see her in a future update! I was maybe a little harsh on Sumire originally. I had to make very few changes to be satisfied with the new look. Maybe you guys can help me decide an outfit? How does that sound for the monthly poll?
With that covered, I wanted to have some real talk about Superheroes Suck. If you want the summary: we've just crossed over the first act in a loose, three act story. If you want the in-depth look, then read on.
The Version Number: When I first created Superheroes Suck, my plan was to make a silly, superhero story that people could enjoy at the end of a long day. I didn't want a lot of stress because I tend to like visual novels that are more laid back. That's not to say I don't want tension, but it's been important to me that you be able to control the pace of the game, which is the main reason for the sandbox element. The version number was accurate for my original goals for the game, accurate for when I intended to end the story without enough support. Seeing how long some of you have been with me, and how encouraging you've all been through some very difficult times, I can say that I feel supported enough to fully continue on with development. As such, technically, we should be closer to Version 0.30 to reflect where we are in the story. I won't be changing the official version number to avoid confusion, but we've crossed an important milestone with the release of 0.75!
What was the First Act? The purpose of the first act was to introduce the main characters, the Academy, the main story, and to develop your romance with Chrys, Harper, Riley, and Valentina to their own first acts. You've all noticed by now that not all of the girls are loving you in the same way. Harper wants to experience having a boyfriend, Valentina sees losing you as a personal defeat, and Riley hangs around you like you're a vibrating dildo. For a very long time, Chrys was also treating you like an accessory or prop to fulfill her bad girl persona as well as bring Riley back into the Academy. Only in the most recent events has she completely, wholly, fallen for you.
What can we expect in the Second Act? In a word: Villains. You've done your training and now we're going to start ramping up the threats in Superheroes Suck. The main story is going to take a front seat in the game for a while, with less content devoted to the other romances until we're in a better place. Still, I'd like to give at least Harper and Valentina one new event each because of the long pause in their current content events.
No More Revisions / Replacer Content: After Version 0.75, the foundation of Superheroes Suck is now solid enough that I feel confident going forward with brand new content all day all the time.
That'll be it from me today. I've got renders to do and plots to flesh out. I'll talk to you again this Sunday, and thank you all for your support!
