[Progress Report]: 21st of March

Hey everyone,

The Introduction's overhaul has been completed: from the few additions at the very beginning to the replacements made to the hospital scene as well as the tour. I'm still filled with a mix of "this took me weeks when I first started" and "I can't believe this is all I did this week." I severely underestimated just how much I would need to change when I made the spoiler fixes I mentioned last week. That said, I do think I made the right call. This process had to be done all at once, and there's been no other time in the history of making Superheroes Suck that it would have been better. I know I said I would pace myself, but I've basically abandoned the idea of looking for a new job for this development cycle and have been just dumping sixty to seventy hours a week into this project to try and get it all finished. Don't worry, I'm still maintaining the quality control as best as I can.

For the upcoming week, I need to tackle a lot of stuff from Chrys. Her very first event outside of the classroom needs to be redone for the spoiler reason, and then I need to redo her slideshow animations. There are also hundreds of renders in the game that need to be updated - I'm going to see if I can cram that over next weekend.

I've also been going through the game and updating the dialogue as well as standardizing some of the terms that I've been using throughout the story. A few new music tracks and sound effects have made it in, and I've been switching formats from .mp3 to .ogg to cut down on the file size. The quality sounds the same to me, so it's all upside from here. I just need to code more and hunt for bugs where the old music errors out.

At this point, I'm not sure if there is going to be very much "new" content in Version 0.75. All of the changes were necessary, but right now I'm just one hundred percent focused on nailing all of the revisions so I don't have to go back and do more of this. There's still a lot more I want to accomplish before the release, and I'll keep you all updated as I go along.
