Hey everyone,
What a week. I hope you all enjoyed the public release of Version 0.60! Now I can finally tell you all about what I've been working on for the past two weeks of development for Version 0.65. Before that, though, please remember to vote on the polls! The one concerning whether or not the protagonist should have a face is still tied. At this point, I know everyone is sick of voting, but this will have a large effect on how I redo the early portion of the game. Also, the H-scene poll for this update is very close, with Riley just having pulled ahead. I guess the three animated scene last update just wet the appetite.
Back to what I've been working on, in short: Chrys. Lots and lots of Chrys. She should have four events in Version 0.65 that wrap up her initial character arc and I'll be finishing the third one tonight. After that, I move onto whoever wins the H-scene poll for events and then we begin the process of fixing the beginning of Superheroes Suck. I've received a lot of questions about how this will work, and so I'll answer the most common ones here.
Will I need to start a new save?
No. I have always kept save-game compatibility a priority in Superheroes, in part because the early portion is poorly done. Nothing will break if you choose not to start a new game.
Will I miss out on the content if I don't start a new game?
Not really. I'd like to take a moment to explain how I do events in Superheroes Suck. They work like this:
Event 1 - > Event 2 -> Event - > 3
The key thing here, is that Event 3 does not need Event 1 to trigger. And completing Event 3 does not prevent Event 2 from triggering. Effectively, this means I can put new events anywhere along this chain, and it won't break the quest progression.
I want you guys to experience all of the content, but this will feel weird when I redo the training events. For everyone who is keeping a current save, having Valentina explain to you basic exercises that you've been doing for weeks will seem strange, and that is because I'll have added something like Event 2b which will trigger because you did Event 1, even though you're currently on Event 18.
Should I start a new save for the new content?
I don't recommend it unless you really want to. Valentina will be the first character I do revisions for in the early game. Both she and Harper have suffered the most from my inexperience at the time, and their stories are the most "rushed" feeling because of it. Once I've redone Valentina, Harper, the Introduction, a few of Riley's section, and a good bit of Chrys' early stuff (the handjob still isn't animated), then I'll put out a post recommending a new game start. This will likely be a slow process, since I'll also be progressing the current story plot. I still want the majority of game development to be focused on new content, rather than redoing old content.
Will you be redoing the older animations?
Yes. The earlier ones should average around 2 animations instead of the newer 3 animations, but I would like to update the quality of all of my older content.
Will you be using the updated look of Missus Powell for the earlier portion of the game?
Yes. It will look weird to see her face change from old events to new events, but eventually I'd like everything to look new.
When will you redesign Sumire?
Towards the end of this development cycle. All of my focus right now is on finishing Chrys' arc.
Are Missus Powell's breasts large enough? The last picture had her at a flat, frontal angle.

Thank you for all of your support!
