Ok, so remember the Mutual Masturbation comic? Here's how some of the drawings came into existence!

I recruited my poor, unfortunate studiomate Jack Cole to pose for me:

...so that I could draw this:

And then *I* posed for me, playing both characters for this other big illustration:

Decided my legs were too similarly positioned as the other pose, so I took another photo of me cross-legged:

So from those, I drew this:

And Matt saw it and was like that will not cut the mustard, they're too stiff and they're not actually interacting in any way. So he mocked up this sketch for me with their legs overlapping:

And then he was like "wait, no, what about something like this?"

When I got home that night we staged a photo reference shoot where we tried out a variety of these overlapping poses and I'd love to share those pictures with you but that's nnnnnnnnnnot happening sorrynotsorry ;P They're cute, though. Just take my word for it. Anyway, we settled on the photo of this pose:
