FINALLY DONE.
Oh god.
This nearly fucking killed me towards the end there.
I'm counting this as a successful experiment that taught me maybe the most I've learned from any of my pieces but as a finished work of art, it's.... well, "failure" is too strong of a word. It's not what I'd hoped it would be.
Overall, it's just way too dark and the colors are too noisy. Next time I'll just be using one BRIGHT shade of red and one vibrant yellow-y green.
BUT, on the plus side, this unintentionally wound up being my first foray into shading with thread. Some of those blends wound up looking pretty natural, if I do say so myself! I only added one accent color on top of a solid fill, so I'm excited to try incorporating more shades to build up a stronger depth in the future.
In any case: it's done! I'm free! I'm free!
...Now to start the next one.
