Spent all day working on graphics for the Kickstarter page and video and book stuff.
I forgot the book would need author portraits, so I excerpted them out of some of the original OJST strips. You can see how I updated mine to be a bit more in-line with my current cartooning ;)
Literally the only thing left is to design the book cover. Which is the scariest biiiiiiiiiit so I've saved it for laaaaaaaaast.
Oh dang, and I also need to register and ISBN for it! Oh my lord, I haven't done that since 2010 with DAR! v2, I don't even remember how this works.
Back when I was getting ready to publish DAR! v1 in 2009, I went about acquiring and ISBN for it since that seemed like the grown-up thing to do and would make it easier to sell the book in stores. That is when I learned that you could buy a single ISBN for... oh lord, I'm forgetting. It was something ridiculous, like $75? OR you could buy a bundle of 10 ISBNS for $100. So in 2009 I bought 10 ISBNs and then over the last five years I've slowly sold them off to friends at $10 a pop for their own self-publishing ventures. Now I'm down to my final two! One for OJST and... maybe... someday... one for the fully collected single volume of DAR! ? I'm getting down to the last few hundred copies of volumes one and two, and it'd be kinda nice to collect all the comics into a single book some day. But then again, maybe it would be nice to just let my older work fade into history. (pretending the internet doesn't exist, of course)
