Man, so I completely forgot that doing a convention this weekend would mean cutting into my comic-making time D: Which woulda been manageable, but Matt and I went to the coast for the weekend*, which means I've got Monday-Wednesday to pump out a full comic (?????) or run a guest strip.

I reeeeeeeally hate to run two guest comics in one month, so Matt and I decided to try and pump out a short, simple comic. He wrote the first draft of the script on Friday (then we were gone Saturday-Sunday) and now today, Monday, I edited it and started layout, penciling and, can you believe it, inking.

Keeping the pages super simple, and there's only three of them, so it it's actually possible I may be able to get this done before our trip up to Seattle for Emerald City Comic-Con. Matt'll be coloring again for me, so as soon as I finish inking each page I'll send them off to him for colors.

*Hey, so the coast! The last time Matt and I took a vacation without any work was, like, a year ago. And the time before that was another year ago. We're gunna try and do a tiny get-away maybe once every two months this year? Because last year I had my epic two-month-long breakdown where I was basically comatose on the couch, crying, unable to eat, losing weight and dry heaving so hard I'd fall on my hands and knees. Y'know, from anxiety and overwork. I kinda worked myself ragged last year. I'd like to avoid repeating that again this year, so we have to forcibly set aside time to not work. So yeah! The coast was nice. It was the first full night I've slept in over a month and also I ate a lot of candy. Good times.
