Hey Everyone!

Here is some behind the scenes footage from our re-recording mix session from this past week. We have been going through each scene of the film and balancing sound effects, atmosphere and music. In this clip, I had added some subtle music flourishes on vibraphone and bells to add a little sting to some "magic" moments in the film. I am working with our re-recording engineer Gavin Fernandes on this part of the mix process and it has been a rad time! We place the sound or music layer into the mix and then position the sound in the space using reverbs and audio diffusion tools. We will also add some equalization to help balance the sound.

Great News! We've just heard that Space Cadet has been selected to have its WORLD PREMIERE in at the Berlinale Film Festival. This is the first festival of the year with an extensive network of distributors in attendance. Ginette, the films producer, tells me that this is the best festival to meet film distributors from all over the world and sort out distribution for a film like ours. So we're very happy to be invited to be a part of the 2025 festival!

It looks like I'll be in Berlin for the whole festival, so if any of you patrons are in Berlin area at that time, let's definitely meet up for pizza and celebrate the premiere! I should have more news soon as to what day(s) our film will actually be screening.

This movie will be wrapped by the middle of January (still some work to do on the credit sequence at the end).
