First, I have to say that I love the premise and direction you are taking with your game. It looks extremely promising. As a software developer myself with more than 20 years of experience however I need to give you a little constructive criticism. I mean this in the kindest way because I would love to see your project succeed, but it has a significant design flaw right now. Specifically your UI layout for character interactions. It’s a punishing (to the player) setup. For 1 chat, social, or physical interaction ... the player must first pick the npc of interest at the bottom of the screen ... then drag the mouse all the way up to the top edge of the screen and pick an action (chat for example) .... then they have to drag the mouse all the way back down to the bottom of the screen and pick a subject matter ... then drag the mouse all the way back up to the top edge of the screen again to end the interaction (clicking done). Every day when my MC goes to the office he chats with every contact that he has there and frankly it’s becoming exhaustingly repetitious and significantly diminishes the “fun” level of the game. To correct this you would need to bring the subject icons and the activity selections much closer together, like by moving the activity selections (chat, social, physical, etc) to the bottom edge of the screen, near the icons. This would allow your players to quickly pick their choices with minimal mouse travel and fatigue. I hope you find this helpful, as that is my intention.
