Also if you enjoyed Sondheim's work you should really check out Sweeney Todd. The movie adaptation is quite good and the cast is mostly made by Harry Potter's actors hahaha

2025-05-02 00:30:54 +0000 UTCi can't stress enough how much i recomend you guys to watch the original stage play (even if is not for the channel) as Disney really didn't want to get into the dark parts of the show. It's available on YouTube. Also this is a play that can be watched countless times and always learn something new. As Stephen sondheim was a puzzle maker there are tons of double and even triple meanings in the lyrics and the music. It's simply mindblowing.

Vocally, a great performance from the cast. I like the film, but it's not my favourite musical adaptation. I hope Les Misérables is also on your list! It's one of the most classic, iconic musicals. And the movie is fantastic, also with an outstanding cast.
