So my theory is that his wife was brain dead from the car accident and Lumon has some arrangement with the hospital to take people in this state, "for science", they experimented on her and brought her back (so not related to tricking Mark into getting severed). But I doubt she is severed though, i think she might be in this state the whole time. She doesn't even behave like the other employees, she is very odd, like a robot almost. She for sure lives on premises away from normal society because they cannot risk having her seen by people she knew (it's not even just Mark). That was a great reveal at the end, I didn't think his wife was still around, when Cobel asked about "seeing her" I thought she might mean hallucinations, maybe a side effect of the chip. But at the end when Mark said he loved all her traits "equally" it clicked that it was going to be the "psychologist". Couldn't have been Helly anyway because early on Mark saw her on the parking lot. On to the next one, can't wait to see what happens next!

2025-05-14 16:41:58 +0000 UTCI'm glad that you're liking the series more than you were now MQ. For me, the few first episodes were definitely a slow burn, but after episode 3, I was hooked. I just started this series two weeks ago, maybe, and I've already finished it. It's so good and I can't stop thinking about it. One of the best, IMO

When Devon ran into Gabby later, not only did Gabby not remember her, but Devon said of her baby, "Aw, he's beautiful -- he looks like a William!" and Gabby said "His name's Bradley, actually."
