*Spoilers* Omg, I’m re-watching and I never realized Ted calls Coach Beard his actual name in this episode πŸ˜‚

I don't think there is any jealousy component whatsoever. He made it very clear in season one how confident he is at his job and how more than willing he is to bring anyone who can help the team in any way intimidate the fold, like he did with Nate. His problem is with therapists specifically, he's taking it personally like she's there to attack him/show him where he's going wrong, because that's his only experience with a therapist from couples counseling.

I think Ted’s demeanor may be a combination of two things. One, he is jealous maybe. And two, he doesn’t trust therapists so maybe he is worried about his player. At least that’s how I took it. 😊

I don't think I've ever seen somebody as invested in Dani Rojas' first kick as Oak was in the opening. I crossed my fingers with you! I wish I could take credit for this observation, but I didn't notice it myself the first time and somebody else had to point it out to me: When Rebecca is telling her date about how love means being vulnerable and willing to risk being hurt, and how it can be so extreme, he doesn't respond "I want to be that man for you". He jumps instantly to thinking that he's being dumped, which even Rebecca didn't realize was happening at first. His reaction is its own demonstration that he isn't that man for Rebecca. Even he doesn't see them as having that kind of passion.

Ted mentions "Magnolia" which featured Aimee Mann's "Wise Up." When Rebecca is looking around the coffee shop, "Wise Up" is playing. Just a fun little Easter egg for PTA fans.
