Each mystery is delicately peeled off and even then the meaning behind it is not fully revealed. So I would suggest to just sit back and let the confusion take over and the speculation run wild.

I knew y'all were gonna start this, but I kept hearing about it, and I figured it'd be hard for me to wait each week for a new episode lol. I got a 7 day free trial of Apple tv this week and just binged it lol. I was actually caught up 2 days before the finale dropped. Clearly I'll have to commit to Apple for this and Ted Lasso, lol, but I'm really excited for y'all to see it!

But watching it with you guys, got me completely hooked. There were a lot of things I missed during my first watch. Excited to watch the rest of the season with yall.

It feels like a "mystery for mystery's sake" meets "human psyche porn" kinda show like Black Mirror or Westworld, which I find to be pretentious and full of plotholes. Nothing in this first episode grabbed me, aside from the cinematography. So I think I'm gonna sit this one out. Y'all enjoy.

Writing is AMAZING, directing AMAZING, every single actor is the best I've seen in years. Cinematography is always clever and beautifully done. Man can't wait to watch you guys fall in love with Severance!

The exterior scenes where Mark lives are filmed in Nyack, New York. You guys looked confused when Petey said "Hi kids, what's for dinner?" to Mark at Pip's. I think you were talking over the scene when Irving (John Turturro) said "Hi kids, what's for dinner?" as he entered the Macrodata Refinement (MDR) office and greeted the gang -- so it's a joke from MDR. Petey recalls it because of his "bypass"; Mark can't. For Diamond Dave - the course Mark S takes after he exits the elevator and walks to MDR is *not* left/right/left/right, which is part of what makes it unsettling. Watch it again. As for whether the slow burn turned me off of the show -- I was riveted from the jump and couldn't wait for the next episode.
