Comments

Every one I know who had an ED, including myself, tried that cube of cheese diet.

Violet

It would be hard on a phone. Personally, I use my computer with a split screen. I put their reaction on one side, and I sync the movie on the other side.

KarySky

You need to watch this ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhyzsEZ-bpE

KarySky

Big Little Lies is awesome

Denisse Brito

Sorry... I'm dumb here... I don't know how to watch the movie with the reaction. I can't use my tv so all I have is my phone...

Joshua Giebner

Nate and her friends are THE WORST

Meryl’s eye rolls are legendary and she whispers and looks at you in caps lock

Harlee

Another great reaction guys, thank-you, really been looking forward to this one! Would love to see you react to more of the 2000’s classics like Bride Wars, The Proposal, Confessions of a Shopaholic, and Miss Congeniality! (All fabulously casted too of course!) and Mamma Mia goes without question 🤩 Wishing you all a Happy New Year also, hope 2025’s a good one for you, and here’s to many more amazing reactions! ☺️

Becks

This is an awesome reaction guys!! 😀👍 Glad the 4 of you were there. I saw this movie way back when it was released, I remember liking it but not being crazy about it either, but I liked it a lot more with this rewatch and it may be because it's the original version, back then I saw the French dubbed one. I only remembered 2 things from my 1st watch: the Harry Potter thing, and the monologue about the blue jumper 😄 Also, is it me or is Mason Quinn in awfully good mood during this reaction? Lol he seemed way perkier and less serious than usual 😄

Aria Isara

I need to start using this sentence too 🤣

Aria Isara

Same. So disrespectful!

Aria Isara

Your comment and this reaction show that there are many movies people don't watch because they are said to cater to a certain group, like chick flicks for example, but yeah men can totally enjoy them too 😊

Aria Isara

I'm wondering if it's more specifically an American thing... I often see Americans with a "worshipping work" type of mentality... people proud to say they work 50 hours a week... I don't see that much here in France lol

Aria Isara

Meryl Streep is nothing short of brilliant in every thing she does, she’s played some very impactful roles in other movies. Might I suggest “Sophie’s Choice”(1982), “The Deer Hunter” (1978), “Silkwood” (1983), “Postcards From the Edge” (1990), and “Mama Mia,” (2008). It’s an eclectic bunch of movies but they really show her range. I also highly recommend doing “Angels in America” (2003) as a short series. A close second is “Big Little Lies” (2017-2019). Streep isn’t in it until season two but the first season has top-notch performances by some A-List Actors.

Juley

<3 my favorite movie

Butthats

Hello! 2 of those 3 I know are on the list. And 310 to Yuma🤙

Badd Medicine

Hey first of you guys are the GOAT in reaction videos. Quick question though, what do you have against Westerns? Unforgiven, Tombstone, Silverado. Just to name a few

Habman

A year is all that she asked from them and they couldn't even give her that. As you watch the movie, you can see that she grew to love her job and fashion (right until she realized she didn't want to become Miranda). The fact that her friends and her boyfriend didn't see that and kind of mocked her for changing her style and being like "the fashion girlies", is sad. And apart from missing Nate's birthday, which was something out of her control (because she would have definitely lost her job if she hadn't gone to the event) and cutting short the dinner with her dad, she was never shown to be mean or to have become a bad person because of her work. She was just invested in a job that could open up the doors for what she truly wanted. Same with Miranda's comment with Emily, in the car. Andy has proven to be a better employee than Emily. She didn't steal her spot to the fashion week, she earned it.

L AH

THANK. YOU. MASON. QUINN. What an absolute legend! Could not agree more with everything you said. Spit out facts left and right.

Alexandra

I was forgot how insufferable Andy friends and Nate was in this movie. Hopefully they will not be back in the sequel 😭

Emily

I never took the apology as them being open to getting back together. Especially after Andy got her foot in the door at the newspaper in New York. She was moving on with her life and Nate was moving on with his.

Donna Castellano

I'm really glad you guys stuck up for Nate. So many reactors just automatically dump on him because he wasn't 100 percent in Andy's corner the entire time. Like being in a relationship with her meant he had no opinions of his own on the situation. You called out what needed to be called out with him and saw his side of the issue. He only knows what Andy tells him and what he sees - she was f'king miserable.

Donna Castellano

Being unsupportive doesnt equal taking her phone and playing hot potato with it tho. Thats such an ass thing to do regardless of ur opinion of her work

slavicandsapphic

Remember…no job is worth sacrificing your soul or inner peace! In a job like this one, you choose either a life of family and friends or a life of working. I’m honestly shocked that so many people watching this movie root for a life of working.

Lauren

I disagree. No job is worth sacrificing your inner worth or happiness. They saw how the job changed her in a bad way, and as friends were unsupportive of that change.

Lauren

100% agreed. Also your spelling and grammar is great, better than most native speakers.

Sanji Sama

Thank you for releasing the full uncut versions as well for a little while! I love those.

Mads

I never thought I would watch this but it was really good

Graham F

We all know the boyfriend and two friends are the real villains of the story. She clearly said one year of hard work and they all ganged up on her for « changing ». Can someone not discover new passion in life ? Or even be interested or loving your work ? Especially a job which can open up so many opportunities for you ? And happily accepting her gifts which she got from her job? Yeah, the worst people. I’m glad you guys enjoyed this movie !! You should watch Bridget Jones Diary next, it’s a really good rom com.

L AH

The friends and the boyfriend were not supportive. Mason Quinn was the MVP in this one 😂 Andy was trying to break through, and even if she fumbled a bit, they should have understood, considering her couple of friends already look accomplished. And her boyfriend at the end got hired for a demanding job too, because that is the moment in life you take chances, go all in. Love your discussions, Thank you for the reactions 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 (Ps. My english is trash, Sorry for the misspeling and all 🇧🇷🇧🇷)

Bruna Pereira

A cool fact is that the line "Everybody wants to be us" was actually changed by Meryl Streep. The original line was "Everybody wants to be me" amazing decision

Javier Padilla

Actually, fun fact Meryl keept Miranda's sun glasses and she actually worn them during Money Money Money in Mamma Mia

Javier Padilla

This is THE Mason Quinn React. I'm dying for you guys hearing that most of the people agree with him on this one. i'm so glad that you talked about Nate and Andy's friends at the end as you'll soon find out is a HUGE discourse among the fans. With video esseys and physiological analysis dedicated to them. Personally i hate that Nate only likes being with Andy when she's not doing well and acts all immature and childish when she's having to make tough calls. And by the end when he gets a better job he expects her to be all happy and supportive after giving her hell. There's actually what is called the "2020´s cut" where you completelly skip that last Nate and Andy scene, as her apologising and belittle herself feels unnecessary haha So happy for you guys to have finally watched this, had an amazing time. Wishing you and your families the best this Christmas time.

Javier Padilla

Well, now you have to watch Anne’s first movie The Princess Diaries with Julie Andrews. I think you’ll enjoy it

mintsalad-3

I’m in the Mason Quinn camp myself, the boyfriend and her unsupportive friends (who don’t hesitate to take all the free things she’s offering, mind you) are the real villains in this one 😂

Madison RaeAnn Apitz

Totally! I was talking to myself yesterday like "relax, if they don't like it, that's okay" but they did! This reaction is a rewatch for sure. Me neither lol like Alana said, maybe his fiancé or people he knows that like fashion maybe, either way, it makes me really happy that they enjoyed it

Alexiani Gollarza

Now you guys need to watch Mamma Mia! (2008) with Meryl Streep (and a lot more familiar faces)

Angel Griffin

Maybe his fiancé is into designers and fashion 😊

Alanna Banana 🍌

The throwing around the phone scene made me so irritated

Jennimo

Yeah, I also acknowledge that the guys have some good insights in that Nate isn't necessarily a "bad boyfriend", he's just probably not what Andy needed in this situation. I would also have taken a reconciliation scene with Lily in place of the scene with Nate.

Kat Bland

I didn’t think they’d like it and I was so happy they did! And didn’t know Oak knew all of those designers’ names lol! (Maybe that’s on me for assuming lol). One of my favorite films done by some of my favorite reactors!

Kaley

I agree. They sorta hinted it at during their review, but it also doesn't make sense for them to get back together when he is about to move to Boston to further his career and she just got a new job at a newspaper in NYC. They will eventually just end back up in the same situation later on. They should've just called it quits and focused on their own separate careers.

Lee Ivory

I have to say, I genuinely hate the way the movie handled her "make up" with Nate at the end. Mostly because it involved her apologising and taking blame for everything and him taking zero accountability for any of the problems they had. Yes, the job ended up taking over her entire life and she was struggling, but it was for one year and she knew it was going to be hell from the start, and this was communicated with Nate from the beginning. However, I felt he was never very supportive and was actually pretty negative whenever she would try to talk about her job with him (especially when she wasn't complaining about how bad it was). I would have been happier if they had just acknowledged that they had ended up in different places in their lives, and parted amicably with no implication that there would be any future attempt at a relationship. In saying that, I still love the way this movie portrays high pressure careers, and especially how women in these careers are often viewed.

Kat Bland

I have always loved this movie! So glad you guys got a chance to watch. I think someone already said it, but at this point I think it's a well-known "secret" that Miranda's character was based on Anna Wintour (fashion magnate, editor of Vogue magazine and she organizes the MET Gala every year). I don't think she's every publicly acknowledged this movie. Loved the discussion at the end about careers and recognizing that in order to rise up the ladder, you have to sacrifice sometimes. I'm a TV producer now, but back in my TV news production assistant days there was many a birthday, Christmas, family gathering or important family thing that I had to miss, either because it was on one of my work days or because I was on call and had to go in. News has no off days, and sometimes people don't realize that. And I understand that no one wants to constantly listen to you complaining about a job you hate, but it's not always easy to just find another job. Those opportunities aren't always there for everyone. And most times you can't just pack up and move your life, so you take any chance you get, especially if it can open some doors down the road. And while I get trying to understand her friends' and boyfriend's frustrations, they were already established in the respective careers, so they don't get it. They definitely could've been more supportive, especially Lily since she should know how difficult it is to succeed in the art/photography world. And they were also reaping benefits from her job, too.

Lee Ivory

Loved the review as well, deep conversation there and I appreciate you taking the time to actually dive deep into the movie and not look at it in a superficial level only, it made me think because I've only seen this movie in that way but this review made me think so thanks a lot guys, for the conversation and for the reaction!

Alexiani Gollarza

Who gifted the upgraded whiteboard? First time watch for me, loved it, 4.4 for me 🤙🏻

Steven Warner

Answer may recognize that guy in the bar in the beginning from The Office. He’s in the episodes when Pam is in art school in season 5.

Katie

just finished the reaction and I'm about to watch the review. I AM SO HAPPY you were entertained by this movie, loved every second of the reaction, how Mason was on brows side and how you guys joked and discussed over it, the kissing moment was a gem, so awkward but worth it to see your faces over it. I mean, I didn't see this coming, how invested you were over this movie and how DD was stressed by the job at the beginning. Loved it, loved it, loved it, now to the review!

Alexiani Gollarza

This movie is ICONIC. It was based on a book written by a former assistant of Anna Wintour(the Editor in chief of Vogue) and Miranda Priestly is heavily inspired by her.

Ari

Great reaction! I didn't like this much when it first came out but then I had a boss who was SO much like Miranda and now I get it on a whole different level. I both loved and loathed that job - outback Australia cattle station so lived right nex to my boss too! I was convinced she hated me all up until my final day where she went "you're one of the bes horse girls we've ever had, you know all 250 mares and foals by name, never forgets anything and you're tidy". I had no words I was so shocked! She gave me a fanastic reference too and I got so many insan job offers due to it 😅

Natacha Pedersen

I love this film! I quote “by all means move at a glacial place, you know how that thrills me!” constantly! Haha! And just a heads up Mason Quinn: Meryl was also in 2019’s LITTLE WOMEN (directed by Greta Gerwig).

Kaley

Loved the reaction! Hope you guys do more romcoms in the future!

Megan Schnese

I never comment here though I’ve been a Patreon for like a few months now. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate you guys’ efforts to put an uncut version here. I love your commentaries but my country doesn’t have all the content you share so I cannot watch them all. Thank you guys for sharing!

Natasha

Woot woot! I’m excited to watch this tomorrow, I’ve waited all month!

Emily G

You guys should really watch Steel Magnolias! 🤞

Emily G

You really need to see Julie and Julia. Meryl and Tucci. *chef kiss*😉

Eni

That’s what I meant when I asked if it was uploaded by accident. I figured it was meant for another time. Lol

Monica H

It will arrive next week

Badd Medicine

Oh because I went to watch it and it said removed by uploader

Monica H

Nope. Testing. It wasn't a full reaction.

Badd Medicine

Did you upload Venom by accident?
