2024-12-28 00:32:22 +0000 UTCI understand the need to make fun of these movies, because you think they're so cheesy, (which they do), but they honestly take on a different meaning for me, because my father passed away in 2012, and I lost the spirit of Christmas, and love, and joy that I had around time. Whenever I watch these movies, that feeling of Believing, and Love, and Joy, comes back. We loved these movies and used to watch them together. The Faculty scene makes me tear up, because these grown adults lost that spirit, but Santa gave them that back by making them remember what their childhood was like and getting them to BELIVE again, much like the first movie. Going through an incredibly deep depression for the last 12 years, I find comfort in movies like this. My family imploded this year even further, and I spent Christmas alone this year. I get it. I really do, but don't forget that there really is a message in these movies, through the goofiness.
