Weekly Bulletin No. 6

Milo Rossi’s Weekly Bulletin No. 6

Week of April 1st

(We Are So Back Week)

Howdy Patrons!

Welcome to my sixth weekly bulletin. I am finally back safe and sound from NC, and am getting back to work. Over the course of the past month I have been traveling to and from NC, scripting my episode on Filip Zieba as well as giving a talk at Virginia Tech and making a guest appearance on a podcast in NYC. Now that I am finally back home, my team and I are resuming our business as usual.

LAST WEEK:

Last week was mostly dedicated to filming and preparing my April Fools Day video. Having recorded it earlier in the month, I spent the last week editing it to have it ready to meet the deadline. This video is the first I have released in around a month, and was a bit of an easier one than most of my other episodes. I did this primarily because it was fun, but also because it keeps my post schedule moving, and also served as a good promotion for the other major project I am working on, Filip Zieba Debunked.

The premier for the april fools video went without a hitch which was awesome to see. It is definitely rather different than all my other videos so Im glad that something as weird as that was still a success with the audience. With that now live, I am able to shift gears to focus on the insanely long filip zieba video.

THIS WEEK:

This week is going to be mostly dedicated to working on the filip zieba video. It is already filmed and is now on the chopping block, but is going to be really ungodly long. Because of this both Gianfranco and I are working on the editing process for it in hopes of having it done and ready for premier two weeks from now on sunday. Right now this seems like a reasonable goal, but that remains to be seen as the project progresses.

Other than that I will be mostly focused on some personal stuff. Maple sap has been flowing nonstop on the homestead and we are pretty much in a nonstop boil for the daylight hours. We are also lucky enough to be near totality for the eclipse, so we are going to be hosting some family and friends in the upcoming days which will take priority over video editing.

FLOATING IDEAS:

As my team and I begin to get back into the flow of work we have a few floating ideas. Right now the priority lies with the zieba video, but I am also working on the Atlantis episode. My hope is that it will premiere at some point in late May. Along with this we are prepping for the relaunch of Dark Routes with episode four on the pipeline to come out probably in the beginning of May. Between now and then, I know I will do a one off video, similar to roopkund lake, but am still unsure of the topic yet.

Thank you all again for your support, and it feels good to be back!

To the stars aligning,

Milo

Hope that the eclipse is cool. This is kinda a strange request but could you post a picture of the eclipse in a community post or something of that nature for people who arent in the path of it?

Milo, I don't know if this will ever get back to you but I've been dying to tell you that for FUTURE Dark Routes excursions: 'drink more water'. You complained about being ill humored and grumpy. Drink more water. You complained about being unaccountably tired. Drink more water. Your level of swearing increases during the video/day. Drink more water. Not coffee, not beer, WATER. I took several classes in "Wildernesses Medicine" . I'm not a doctor or an IMT, but in a wilderness situation, I'm "better than nothing" (if only just). Drink more water. Respect to you sir. Now that you're safely home go ahead and drink more alcohol. (kidding, this is NOT sound medical advice).
