2024-10-28 10:56:37 +0000 UTCGreat reaction to this episode. Steven Knight said that he gave Grace her name for a very specific reason as her character was written to save Tommy. He also killed her off, (sorry she is definitely dead,) because Tommy is never supposed to be truly happy, which is so sad for Tommy but great for the story and character development.

If Grace were to remain alive, Tommy would have felt satisfied with his life and probably stepped away from the Peaky Blinders, but her death gives him a reason to be angry and seek retribution...Grace's death gives Tommy more emotional depth allowing the viewers to sympathize with him." I wish I could elaborate on this more but I don’t want to spoil anything, in my head this just makes more sense :)
