2024-10-21 04:22:50 +0000 UTCFor the comics, I would say they're pulling a lot of different elements from The Long Halloween and Dark Victory (the follow up to TLH), they're just switched. TLH dealt with Holiday taking down the Maronis and the Falcones, so I was honestly surprised they've lasted this long. I was also equally surprised most of them were killed in one night. Also Sofia has a larger role in Dark Victory because in that story she is the Hangman in order to get revenge for her family. In the comics she's originally introduced as Sofia Gigante because she took her husband's name, Rocco Gigante. The name was originally meant to be a pun because in the comics Sofia is known for her large size. In the show it's probably meant to symbolize her taking on a large role in the crime world. In case anyone is curious as to how the family tree is different in the comics to the show it'll be at the end of The Long Halloween (wish I could just add it to the comments, but maybe I can send it in the community section).
