2025-02-03 18:05:25 +0000 UTCIt's been years since I've read the comics The Batman is based on, and some of my knowledge might be mixed up with the animated movie that came out a few years ago that also follows the same story Batman: The Long Halloween. Jeph Loeb and Tim Sales had such success with The Long Halloween they published a follow-up story that takes place shortly after the events of the first series which Penguin seems to be pulling from. I'll try to keep it as vague as possible because the series might follow this story and I don't want to give spoilers. TLH features a murder mystery during tension between the crime families the Maronis and the Falcones and with ADA Harvey Dent teaming up with Batman and Detective Gordon to end their reign. The killer called Holiday is revealed to be Alberto but he only attempts to kill one person (leaving that part vague for anyone who may read it in the future). Sidenote: TLH serves as a kind of origin story for Harvey Dent's journey to becoming Two-Face. Anyways, the follow-up story, Batman: Dark Victory, focuses on a cop killer who calls themself "Hangman," and it is Sofia in the comics as well (readers are also introduced to Robin in this limited story as well). It seems like the two storylines may be switched and all of the characters mentioned, so far, come straight from TLH. But Sofia and Alberto have one more sibling named Mario Falcone in the comics. If anyone has any trouble following names and connections there's a crime family tree in the last issue of TLH.

Hopefully the show can continue this momentum because I am LOCKED IN! Colin Farrell is unrecognisable, I hadn’t heard the casting and I completely forgot it was him until the end, what a transformation! Can’t wait to watch your reaction, hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I did! Thanks guys 🩵🩵
