Fury Road still edges this movie out for me as my all time favorite action film. I would love for y'all to watch the Mel Gibson movies since I've never seen them and it would be a great excuse to finally see 'em!

His name is Chumbucket and at the beginning of the game you meet Chum,he assists Max/you and ends up being your partner/Guide for the duration of the game. He is very whacky and a colorful character to say the least. Love seeing chum in this!! Great video guys,been waiting on this for a minute,now my 6th time seeing Furiosa. LETS GO!!

2024-09-05 00:55:09 +0000 UTCAlso, I read Blood, Sweat, and Chrome and they briefly touched on the delay of this movie. George Miller wrote it, intending it to be an anime, but the anime studio dropped out. Then he planned on filming this with Charlize not long after Fury Road, but he sued (I think) Warner Bros about the rights for the franchise. That legal situation soured his relationship with the studio, obviously. By the time they finally greenlit this, Charlize aged out, and they didn’t want to use AI/CGI to make her look younger. They filmed this at the tail end of the pandemic, so there were restrictions, causing them to rely more on CGI/green screen compared to Fury Road. I think that’s what turned a lot of people off when they saw unfinished CGI in the trailers.

It’s a damn shame it bombed at the box office, but I was happy to catch it on IMAX (something I couldn’t do with Fury Road because they only showed it on imax 3D, which I’m not a fan of). Might be me, and don’t get me wrong because I really like Tom Hardy, but the guy that played P. Jack would have played a fantastic Max. He totally did give off Mel vibes.
