(it even showed us what the event taken in the last few episodes look like which is a huge deal and a huge reveal) But hey it’s a cool OP though

2024-08-07 14:32:53 +0000 UTCYou can watch the Openings, most of us watched the openings when it aired, its not a spoiler, a lot of the scenes are just cool animations to go with the songs. I wouldn't try to analyze the openings and predict what will happen based on them since they are unique scenes made for the OP. Remember the season 2 opening had flying whales and dinosaurs in it and those never appeared, it was just cool animation to hype things up.

These will come into play HEAVILY later on and I hope they don't forget these little scenes.

I for one have never heard of the creators of a series making certain parts of the show "COMIC BOOK READERS ONLY" it's ridiculous there are no rules. you guys haven't read the manga so watch everything and have your own speculations that's what makes animes fun!

Eren can control titans when touching a titan with royal blood (Dina) historia and zeke are the only two people with royal blood left 2. Two Ymir’s, 2000 years ago the original Ymir started the titan power after making a deal with devil of all earth. She died 13 years later and the founding power was split into 9 titans 3. 60 years ago the Ymir we know was picked off the street by a cult who worshipped the original Ymir. She was then turned into a titan and 60 years later ate Marcel and took the jaw titan power. She gave herself up and allowed galliard to eat her giving galliard the jaw titan The two sides aren’t looking for Ymir or whatever you said at the end Dave. Marley is trying to take the founding titan because paradis island is a threat with their wall titans that might flatten the world. Paradis are trying to basically survive against the worlds hatred for them

While training with everyone in the military he began to become friends with them and developed a split personality where he loved his friends and his other personality where he remembers his mission. Reiner at the end of the day is a broken man who hates what he is doing and wants to save Gabi from the eventual trauma she would endure as a titan wielder.

Go see haylo and kiss reaction to ops and endings they say “I’m sad we skipped this one it would’ve gotten me so hype every week” and they felt pressured to skip all of them not watched any of it the whole show because of their audience telling them it would spoil everything, when listening to the music is part of AoT experience

2024-08-06 14:41:02 +0000 UTCYou mistook Reiner telling Falco off, he was making sure that Falco understands the terror of being a warrior and that he should strive to earn the role instead of Gabi, so that Gabi can be saved from the fate of being a warrior. Reiner understands this because of this own trauma. Also when Reiner was recounting his stories on the islands, it was supposed to be ironic - because the worst stories he could think of for these "devils" was Sasha stealing a potato when she was hungry. You would expect to hear stories of brutality and evil, yet Reiner could only talk about different personality traits.

Eventally when brought back to Marley, Porco reclaimed his brother's Jaw Titan from Ymir. 2) The Founder Ymir, who started the power of the Titans ('deal with the devil' that the Marleyans talk about). she lived about 2000 years before the current events. Eldians are also called subjects of Ymir because they all possess the ability to turn into titans because of her.

Historia's Ymir has been dead for a long time now (well since she decided to help and go back with Reiner and Bertholdt waaay back in s2), because she was eaten by Galliard to get the Jaw Titan back to Marley.

If anything they are supposed to have hints to draw in a casual non invested viewer who would watch this on air. I think if you are already in for the long haul it's to your benefit to not watch them but thats just my opinion, I dont think its that serious. The manga chapters dont have "Intros" to each chapter so I would argue that the intro doesnt have anything to do with how the story is "meant to be watched" as you said. I dont even remember the intro for this season lol I just know its naive to think anime intros won't have spoilers. They almost always do. All I can say is I hope they skip the last one LOL

There is no leaf or stone left unturned when it comes to this show, even the minuscule things that you guys pick up on, lines such as “they’re bad people.. right?” is so provocative in a show like AoT. I can’t believe we are in season 4 already guys, it feels like just last week you guys started watching this show even though it has indeed been quite a while.. hah. Everything is connected when it comes to this special show. Thanks guys for continuing on and providing us with entertainment and all the feels, not just these two drops but the OVAs as well. Some people may see it as filler or unimportant, if anything it gives us more world building and backstory for certain events we may have not even seen. It’s basically characterization/dissection for us to get a deeper understanding of our cast. Also doods, the OP and the EDs are safe to watch unless you’ve seen the whole show, and especially for the season you’re on. I can promise you guys there is no spoilers 🕊️💚🤘🏻

The nine titans are 1.Attack and Founding Titan: Eren Yeager 2. Armored Titan; Reiner 3. Colossal Titan: previously Berthold, currently Armin 4. Female Titan: Annie 5.Jaw Titan : previously Marcel, then scout Ymir and currently Galliard (Marcel and Galliard are siblings) 6. Beast Titan : Zeke 7. Cart Titan: Pieck 8. War Hammer Titan: still unknown

Ymir in the show is just a girl named after the original Ymir. She's just an orphan with the same name. She happened to eat the previous Jaw titan, and when she went back with Reiner last season, she was eaten by Gelliard who is the new Jaw Titan (that was what the flashback in this episode is). - Eventually OG Ymir had kids and lead to her people "children of Ymir" conquering the world with titans. "Children of Ymir" is the same as "Eldians" - Marley, an outside nation, managed to beat the Eldians around 100 years before the show started. - The king and his family and people escaped to the island where the story starts (100 years before it starts), but leaves a WHOLE bunch of eldians on the outside. - The eldians/children of Ymir on the outside are treated as scum, made to wear armbands, and are made to fight for Marley because the whole world hates their race even 100 years later. - Any soldier you see with an armband is an Eldian, fighting for Marley because they truly believe they are monsters who need to atone for their past - Basically Marley is using Eldians as weapons to kill other Eldians who are "more evil" as well as just a general militaristic force, and most of the Eldians fighting for Marley are all brainwashed by generations of abuse to think this is a good thing or they deserve it. This is why Gabi goes "They're all bad people right?" - because that's what she and everyone else was raised to believe. - The above is why Reiner describing completely normal people when everyone thinks the island is "full of devils" is so intense. He's basically saying stuff that goes against what the government stuffs down everyone's throats, and frankly you could probably be imprisoned for saying things like that.

Historia's Ymir was an orphan in Marley who some Eldian cult took her and named her Ymir after the Founder Ymir (the Goddess Ymir) when Marley discovered the hiding place of this cult they turned them including Ymir into titans and sent them to Paradis, after 60 years of being a mindless titan this Ymir ate Marcel, Reiner and Berthold's friend who had the Jaw Titan, and because she ate him she became the Jaw Titan herself. After they failed their mission of regaining the Founding Titan, Galliard, Marcel's brother, ate her and now he has the Jaw Titan. The Founder Ymir is the one mentioned in the history books not Jaw Titan Ymir

So that’s why I think Dave is confused as also in the rod reiss arc the whole point is reiss trying to reclaim the founding titan from Eren himself as eren has two of the nine titans. The founding and the attack titan👍

We were meant to see the intros and all the visuals in them, it's part of the show! If we weren't meant to see it, they wouldn't have shown it. So in Greishas flashback after his sister was eaten his dad teaches him the "story of the world". In there he mentions that 1000+ years ago a girl named Ymir made a pact with the devil to obtain the titan powers (you will learn her full story later in the show). So all the titans and all the Eldians are called subjects of Ymir. Her titan is the one they call the Founding titan. Its the titan that Greisha had stolen from the Reiss family and later on given to Eren. Eren posses both the Attack Titan and the Founding Titan but he cant use the Founding because he has no royal blood. Now the Ymir that we have seen in the story was an Eldian child that has lived in Marley. In her flashback she gets picked from the streets by some guys to be worshipped by Eldians in some sort of cult. They told everyone her name is Ymir and that she is of royal blood. Later on they got caught by Marley and sent to Paradis island where they were turned into titans. And so Ymir ended up roaming around the island for 60 years as a pure titan. Untill she ate Marcel and inherited his powers thats when she could turned back human again. From there on the rest plays out as you know it. She helped Reiner and Berthold and later on was brought back to Marley where she was be eaten by Galliard.

Some people have a hard time recognizing characters and adjusting to the new style, but I just want to say that it was wise of Isayama (the author, and the goat) to make this decision at a time jump in the story in order to make the change more seamless, and also at the time of Mappa's peak (except their employees getting paid less than they should).

Colt Grice, Zeke's portage, and Falco Grice, the kid that doesn't want Gabi to inherit the Armored Titan, are brothers. Gabi Braun and Reiner Braun are cousins. Marcel Galliard, who got eaten by Ymir, and Porco Galliard are brothers. When Ymir went back with Reiner, Pieck and Zeke to Marley she ended up being eaten by Porco so he could inherit her Titan. Now he holds the Jaw Titan as you guys figured out. Pieck Finger is of course the platypus looking Cart Titan. Commander Theo Magath is the head of the Titan Warrior recruitment program. He's the officer that Gabi talked to in order to get permission to pull off her crazy plan to blow up that armored train in Episode 1 (60). Tybur Willie and the Tybur family are Eldian nobles. It is said they sided against King Fritz in the Great Titan Wars. This is why they are respected by the nation of Marley but also by other nations around the world. They are said to hold the War Hammer Titan but they have never used their Titan outside of the the Great Titan Wars, really a civil war, of old. Hint: There is a special relationship between the Tybur noble family and the nation of Marley beyond what I mentioned above. That special relationship is subtly discussed by Commander Theo Magath and Willie Tybur at some point in episode 4 (63). See if you guys can figure it out. Lastly, you can watch the intro guys. It's episodes 17 (76) through 21 (80) that have a NEW intro that contains a big spoiler. After episode 21 (80) you can watch that new intro.

He also could not put himself in a position where it seems like he agrees with those sentiments. Unfortunately the Eldians in Marley do see the Eldians on the island as different from them and as the cause of their suffering. Excited to see your reactions as you get more and more information.

Ya'll had Dave so worried that they talked through the opening in 4x1, and then didn't watching plus talked through it in 4x2. Congrats, for absolutely nothing. To the crew: you guys can watch both opening. it's fine. The vast majority of viewers do watch them. Also, My War (the current opening) doesn't have any spoilers in it. There was no way the majority of people watching were going to figure out Marley would drop eldians from the sky as an attack in the first episode just by watching the opening. The second opening of season 4 requires prior knowledge of future events. it's not spoilery otherwise. I hope the crew gives My War a proper chance, it's such a fun opening!

Why do people insist on doing this to first time watchers? lol I watched every intro as an anime-only viewer and nothing was ruined for me. The intros are there to build hype and anticipation. If you've seen Game of Thrones, you have a general idea how House of the Dragon will end but that doesn't make it any less entertaining. Again, not everything shown in the intro happens in the show. The only way you would know is if you've seen the show already. Also, the intro for the first half of season 4 probably is the least "spoilerly" out of all the intros in the entire show. Even the intro for the second half isn't a spoiler if you've been paying attention. If you didn't catch the hints and foreshadowing in your first viewing, you should definitely see them now. EDIT: The boys seem to have gotten confused. The Ymir that was in love with Historia is not the Ymir from history. They just share the same name. If you recall, our Ymir had the Jaw titan which she obtained when she ate Galliard's brother, Marcel, who came to Paradis with Reiner, Annie, and Bertholdt. Ymir agreed to returned to Marley and was eaten by Galliard. Now Galliard has the Jaw titan. Eren currently has the Attack Titan AND The Founding Titan. Zeke has royal blood. However, as seen at the start of this episode, no one in the military is aware of this fact.
