2024-09-19 03:57:02 +0000 UTCThis intro pretty much has no spoilers. Its really just generic imagery. The next intro does have a lot, and its honestly hard to avoid because of the lyrics. Don’t really know why they do these, but a lot of anime intros have spoilers for their respective season. Its honestly annoying, but nothing that can be done. Just watch the anime how it was intended, and people just gotta deal with that. However if you want to avoid it because of your personal enjoyment then that’s understandable.

2024-08-06 16:47:49 +0000 UTCI know some people are crazy about the intro but the intro of season three was a big spoiler of the entire season and you didn't guess anything so you can just watch it and that's it. Also, when they speak of "nine years ago we failed to get the founding titan" one of you said "Ymir" and it is not, the mission was when the colossal broke the wall in episode one season one (counting a few years of the main characters training, then the year jump in season three then some more years between the end of S3 and this one) and the founding titan was Historia's sister (now Eren). It is said here that Marley had to delay the mission on the founding titan because of this war right here, because they had seven titans but lost annie and berth making them five titans, so other nations went to war with marley because they thought they were weak

This four year war was because the other nations in the world saw a weakness because of Marley's failure on the island.

Even the last opening - yes, you can see what’s about to happen, vaguely, but you neither know when, nor how, nor what the circumstances around it are, and as a first time watcher, you can never actually know if what’s in the opening will ever be in the show. Again, we know, because we’ve seen it. So I too want them to see the op/ed, both this and the next one. It’s intended to be seen.

And did they end up getting spoiled? Look at that, it turns out they didn't. Not to insult the group's intelligence or anything, but we're still dealing with them not remembering that Zeke has royal blood or that there's two Ymir name drops. I'm going to go ahead and say that they're pretty safe from spoilers, from within the show's materials at least. All of this discussion going on right now is the more likely culprit for causing spoilers, not something within the show.

2024-08-06 02:59:25 +0000 UTCI couldn't agree more, even if I know that the rabid weebs will show up in full force to always make sure that they watch anime subbed rather than dubbed. I consider either one to be pure, because there's no 1 way that the creator intended it to be heard. The creator wants their message to be heard, not some specific voice. I guarantee that the voices they have in their head for their characters don't even sound the same as the voices chosen for the cast after all. The creator chose the anime studio and trusted them to find the best people in each language to voice, so I would say that falls into the creator's intention. I mean, if you look at Attack on Titan, almost all of the characters are Anglo-Saxon and based on European people, so clearly the author didn't intend for them to sound Japanese, right?

Remember that these intros are *made* to be watched by the people watching those same episodes. It's not like you're watching next season's intro right now. People have been talking about all of the previous intros since season 2 and saying how they have spoilers and yet you haven't been spoiled on anything. The intros are more like trailers than just straight up spoilers. They exist to generate hype and excitement, but they're not going to ruin the whole story for you. The next intro is the best one in my opinion, by a huge margin.

2024-08-06 00:58:17 +0000 UTCI feel like everything has been said on why you should or shouldn't watch certain things or to watch things a certain way(dub vs sub), so ill just say these 2 things: First, personally I consider myself a "purist" when it comes to media I watch, meaning I watch it exactly how it was intended from the creators. After credits scenes? I watch them. Intros and outros? I watch them atleast once(skip if theyre boring, not to my liking or I just want to get to the episode) and I watch everything in its original language with english subtitles. It doesnt matter if its japanese anime, korean dramas, french, spanish, whatever. Always in the original language. Second part of this rant, I understand you guys are entertainers and although of course you want to enjoy the things you are watching for us, you guys are doing your best to make it worthwhile for your audience so you take some hints from people on what or how you should do something, but at the end of the day its your decision. I dont know who what or when people have told you you should skip x intro or watch x episode in dub or skip x thing, but in my opinion If a handful of people are telling you should do something, maybe make a poll so the entire community can have atleast a small voice heard. Some people are saying dub, some are saying sub? Make a poll. Watch intro or not? Make a poll. I think it just makes sense, not everyone will be happy no matter which you choose, but atleast they'll have an input.

The thing you're referring to was discussed since s3, it was a prominent threat and became more dangerous over time, this opening only makes sense. But again, it's not about what's happening, it's about how & why & who's responsible. And idk, when I saw it, it was more like a "what if" than a "this is about to happen", since the dinosaurs from the shinzo wo sasageyo opening also never happened (unfortunately)

2024-08-05 21:06:09 +0000 UTCAbout what you said in the intro & I'm repeating myself but it's kinda annoying atp. The openings are not a spoiler. Neither this, nor the next one. The implying that anything is a spoiler is (imo) spoiling more than the intro ever could. We're talking about aot, you could say that the very first episode, or the first season, is a spoiler, but it's the context that's important. And they don't have that yet. The next opening is not spoiling the story that's about to come, it's setting the tone. Yes, there are hints at what might happen, but that isn't even the main point. It's about the how's and why's. The big bad thing that starts with an R is not the main plot point, nor is it even nearly the biggest reveal. Please just watch and enjoy the intros like all of us did. It's an important part of the journey, and another reason why many of us love this show so much.

So it’s been 4 years since season 3 end. :P Edit: as in since they first attacked when eren was like 10, till the end of season 3 when he’s like 15.

In other words due to the events on Paradis, and the loss of the Female and Colossal Titan to Eren and the gang, a war broke out between the nation of Marley and a rival alliance of "Mid-East" nations. Why? Because word got out to those rival nations that Marley lost 2 of their Battle Titans in a failed operation. So those hostile nations attempted to use that loss as a military advantage to reclaim lost territory. Also as you all saw Marley forcibly conscripts Eldians to use as shock troops for their military. However exception being those who are Warrior candidates. Also everyone in the world at large views the Eldian people as "the devils who turn into Titans". Hence why that Mid-East soldier rescued by the kid Falco was telling him not to touch him because he would be "tainted". In short, the Eldians are universally reviled by everyone.

They use an emphasis of CGI for all Titans involved. It looks a little rough now but the quality improves dramatically as the season moves on. And yes, for the second opening intro of the show, DO NOT watch it. Close your eyes, don’t even think about looking at it haha
