If you are thinking of watching the last 2 you guys haven't seen, which should be the second and third on Crunchyroll, I think I would say to watch them after episode 10 of season 4. This is a good stopping place in the main story to do these, and any time after this would be too intense to not go on a tangent. Also, fyi, these two are more light-hearted and kinda take place very early in AOT. Either way you guys do this, I'm here for the ride!

In hindsight.. thereβs SO much going on in this episode that definitely prophesies certain things. Itβs crazy to think that had just one small decision been different, the whole outcome changed but the end result would still have been the same. Eren would have found a way to leave the walls, sacrificing himself to save Armins life, with Mikasa running after them to still be there at the end. It also hurts to know that Mikasa could have had a little brother had the parents survived. Or rather had the thieves not come into their home at that time. Itβs like no matter what, they were always destined to cross paths. This one was a good one β€οΈποΈ

2024-08-05 22:19:02 +0000 UTCI think guys nailed the point of this OVA. It definitely was a look into Mikasa's head space and her going to "What if?" land. Also in my opinion what I took from this OVA is that it explains three things about life: 1.) Be careful what you wish for in the end. The ramifications of getting what you want will ripple out and change the world but not always for the better. 2.) Some people's nature, Eren for example, cannot be changed. No matter how much you try. No matter how much you wish they would change some people will remain the same and move forward toward their ultimate destination in life. 3.) Getting lost in a fantasy world of your own creation is not a solution to your real world problems. It maybe nice to do so but the real world will not go away even if you are lost in your own head space. In the end it's just better to deal with real life head on.

2024-08-05 22:15:47 +0000 UTCI believe this OVA emphasized on the butterfly in order to make us understand how real the butterfly effect is, but at the same time trying to tell us that our trios fate intertwining was inevitable. I'm trying to say that if those kidnappers had crossed paths with those wild dogs (for example because they were late/early) her parents would be alive and so on... HOWEVER no matter the timeline Eren will always be Eren, wanting to be a scout so he could exterminate the titans, sacrificing himself for Armin. Mikasa will always be Mikasa, wanting to stay by Eren's side no matter the circumstances, experiencing the Ackerman awakening. Armin will always be Armin, wanting to explore the outside world, having survivors guilt and blaming himself for Eren's death.
