2024-08-02 14:18:16 +0000 UTCThe war with the Lee’s was inevitable. If you re-watch, Tommy is looking for a fight. He really eggs the Lee men on. The fact that the horse is ‘cursed’ was unexpected. On that note; pay attention to the Shelby’s and the Lee’s are VERY superstitious and into ‘magic’. It comes with being Romani (Gypsy’s). Hence Polly being able to tell Ada is pregnant, Curly won’t do things under the full moon, the horse is cursed. The culture really plays a big part in how they run their family.

2024-08-01 23:22:41 +0000 UTCAunt Polly is probably my favorite character in the series. Helen McCrory is brilliant and worked all the way up to her passing in 2021 after a battle with breast cancer. You may not recognize her but she played Draco Malfoy's mother! On a side note -- she's also brilliant in A Little Chaos which was directed by the late great Alan Rickman.... really just a round about way of luring you into another period piece but it is worth a watch. ;)
