I enjoyed Season 1 as well. There are dozens of us! Dozens! Do agree that there were some slow parts, though.

2024-07-29 22:49:51 +0000 UTCHave you ever considered reacting to some of the Batman Animated movies? Or the classic Batman The Animated Series even or the Harley Quinn series? :D But if you would want to stick to the animated movies I´d definitely recommend the following : Batman: Under the Red Hood Batman: Hush Batman: Assault on Arkham Batman: The Long Halloween (Part 1 & 2) As to Sofia Falcone, she does exist in the comics, but I don´t know if she ever was admited to Arkham. She definitely seems to have been in jail though and is very much in her fathers business. She also looks a bit different in the comics. Should you watch Batman: The Long Haloween she should be in it as well as some more Falcone related stuff. :) With Vic I don´t know, he might be an original character of the series but I can´t be sure.

2024-07-29 14:11:04 +0000 UTCI must be the only person who enjoyed S1 of Rings Of Power. Sure it was slow in parts but it's all world-building, I'm sure we'll get more of a payoff in S2. I just hope people will judge it by it's own merit.

2024-07-29 09:17:29 +0000 UTCThe guy who you thought is Saruman is actually from season 1, pharazon (chancellor to the queen in numenor) Spoiler, only for Answer: there is a guy in the trailer who was left out in the movies but was very crucial in the books.

2024-07-29 04:16:30 +0000 UTCTo answer the three “Who/What was that in the Rings of Power Trailer?” questions, here are the answers! The man who was using the palantir crystal was Ar-Pharazon, regent of Numenor. He was in season one, supporting aiding the low men on the mainland, rousing the mob and getting their approval by appealing to their Numenorean pride, etc, and I believe he is the Queen’s brother. Without any spoilers, his storyline is thus far proceeding pretty much in line with how Tolkien wrote his story, so that’s good to see! Now, the man with the beard and hat who looks like a wizard is not a wizard. He is in fact Tom Bombadil, tho appearing in the story for no discernible reason except fan service it seems, as Tom Bombadil, He Who Was First, lives East of Buckland by the Shire in the forest. Or at least he does and has for some time by the events of the Fellowship of the Ring, when, in the books, the four hobbits meet him while on their way to Bree, and he saves them from Barrow Wights, as he possesses some kind of magical power over nature and things of the earth. Which brings us to our next point! That creepy lich looking broskie with the glowing blue eyes was probably a Barrow Wight. Barrow Wights were created when the dead from a country ruled by the Dunedain, Aragorns ancestors, were corrupted and possessed by evil spirits sent from the Kingdom of Angmar, ruled by the Lord of the Nazgul, the Witch King of Angmar, (to the far northeast of the Shire). The Dunedain dead, which were sealed in cairns, were raised to unlife, partially in service to Sauron, one of whose names is The Great Necomancer. The barrow wights are actually evil spirits possessing the dead bodies, as opposed to the dead bodies being evil when they lived. As Tolkien writes it, its possible that the wights were slumbering snd were reawakened between the times of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings as “evil crept back into the world”. With the Barrow Wights, the problem is that at this point in the timeline, they should be still living people who don’t become possessed and evil till they’re buried in their tombs. In fact, the Kingdom of Angmar and the region the Barrow Wights lived in in life, (that Dunedain country, called Cardolan, I believe made up of people descended from Isildur, who at this point in the show has no kids), don’t seem to exist in the show at all, so one, the Barrow Wights shouldn’t be there, and two, even if Cardolan was there, which it isn’t because it shouldn’t exist for another several hundred or thousand years, the Witch King still has to rule Angmar and send the spirits down to possess the graves, and there is no Witch King nazgul yet because Sauron is just now making the nine rings for mortal men. At least with Tom Bombadil, he was in Middle Earth for the whole time, whereas with the Barrow Wights, it would be like if someone wrote a story saying “and then the Jedi did so and so, but at a time when the Jedi Order hadn’t been even founded yet but lets ignore that.” That vomit of unnecessary lore and big words aside, I agree the trailer looks better than the previous season, but I will be going into it with very little optimism. Also, Mason Quinn is correct about the Ent, and it’s actually an Ent-Wive, one of the ones Treebeard says vanished a long long long time ago (as this be that time ago lol)
